DNR Naturalist Storytime: Bats
Storytime on Friday, July 11, will have a special guest: a naturalist from Minnesota State Parks! At 10 a.m., she’ll share a story and a fun program for kids about bats in Minnesota.
If the weather cooperates, this program will be held on the lawn on the south side of the library; bring chairs or blankets to sit on. In case of poor weather or wet ground, the program will be held in the storytime area of the library.
Free to attend. No need to sign up.
Bookmark Contest Winners and Finalists
Congratulations to the winners of the Litchfield Library Foundation’s second annual bookmark contest!
There were 195 entries from local 5th through 12th graders. The foundation board voted to narrow to the semifinalists and finalists, then the public voted on the 10 finalists to choose the 3 winners. The top 3 win cash prizes, and the 1st place design will go on this year’s library bookmark, which will be handed out at the Watercade parade and the library.
The winners’, finalists’, and semifinalists’ bookmarks are on display in the cabinet next to the front desk of the library. Stop by to take a look!
