Youth age 18 and under are welcome to sign up for a guided painting workshop with artist Carol Slinden on Monday, July 20th at 6 pm. Space is limited, sign up is required. Please call or stop into the library to sign up for this workshop: 320-693-2483. Children age 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult or teen caregiver who can assist them.

Our 2026 Summer Reading Program, Plant a Seed, Read, is for youth ages 3-18 years.

It is free to sign-up and you do NOT need to have a library card to participate.

Upon sign-up, youth will recieve a bag, a reading log/game sheet, and they can choose a book to keep.

Kids can sign up anytime during the summer. The program runs June 1st -August 31st, 2026.

Completed reading logs/game sheets can be returned for Library Loot, which is used to purchase prizes from the library.

Reading logs/game sheets can be completed all summer long.

LEGO Night is an evening where youth can free build using LEGOs provided by the library. It’s a great time to be creative while hanging out with friends (or making new ones) and family. This program is meant for youth under 14 years of age, however older siblings and family members are always welcome.

It is held the on the second Tuesday of each month, 6:30-7:30 pm.

Those under 8 years old need to have an adult or teen caregiver along.

Join Miss Jennifer and guests for a Spanish-English bilingual storytime once a month this summer! This Litchfield Library program will be held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 3:00 p.m.: June 4, July 2, and August 6. Look for her near the splash pad at Legion Memorial Park.

Storytime will include stories, a craft, and a snack. All ages are welcome. Free to attend. No need to sign up.
